Jacques Cartier had three voyages during 1534-1542. Jacques was sent to search for riches in the Pacific Ocean area. Jacques Cartier explored the West Coast of New Found Land, he also along the way discovered Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick, and sailed through the St. Lawrence.
